There are two components required for jVDR.
VDR
Since jVDR is a iPhone optimized web-interface controlling a Video Disc Recorder (http://www.cadsoft.de/vdr) you need a running installation of VDR. It's tested with 1.4, but should also work with 1.5 and 1.6. The network support SVDRP for managing timers and recordings via telnet must be activated with a known TCP port. You can check the connection using telnet ( telnet <host> <port>), you know your VDR hostname better than me, but the default port is 2001.
Java
jVDR is developed in Java and a Java Runtime-Environment (JRE) is required with a minimum version of 5.
